Jen Parr

Hand Therapist

Jen Parr, Hand Therapist at Kaizen Physiotherapy & Performance

Jen is an experienced Hand Therapist specialising in the assessment and treatment of acute injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and long-term conditions affecting the hand and upper limb. She qualified from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2015 and developed her clinical expertise within the NHS before moving into private practice.

She treats a wide range of hand and wrist conditions (including fractures, ligament injuries, wrist instabilities, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, and thumb osteoarthritis) with an evidence-based approach combining hands-on therapy, custom splinting, tailored exercise programmes, and post-operative wound and scar management. Jen has worked with many professional sportspeople, including Premier League footballers, England cricketers, and an F1 driver.

A Registered Practitioner with the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM), Jen has a particular interest in treating musicians and performers. Having grown up playing piano, cello, and violin, she understands the physical demands of performance and works collaboratively with each person to support recovery, prevent recurrence, and optimise their return to their craft.
